Bristol Rovers pick up first win

Brandon Hanlon and Jack Baldwin netted second-half goals to give Bristol Rovers a 2-0 League A single win over 10-man Northampton.

Hanlon found the roof of the internet with a 55th-minute penalty after becoming brought down by Cian Bolger and Baldwin made sure of the factors by volleying in Cian Harries’ 79th-minute cross.

Northampton had defender Joe Martin delivered off on the hour when an adjustable rate mortgage into the face of Hanlon has been considered worthy of a second yellow credit card.

Rovers could have received by more as the closing levels saw Josh Hare hit the particular bar and Cobblers goalkeeper Dorrie Arnold make fine saves through Sam Nicholson and Hanlon.

A scrappy first fifty percent ended without either side getting created a clear chance. Harries acquired the ball in the net to get Rovers following an eighth-minute part, but was ruled offside.

Chris Missilou volleyed wide through 12 yards for Northampton, whilst Luke McCormick went close for that home side with a curling energy just wide.
