Kamala Harris cancels events after staffer contracts COVID-19
A senior staff member in Kamala Harris’s campaign team has tested positive for coronavirus.
Liz Allen, Kamala Harris’s communication’s director, tested positive on Wednesday evening, as did a member of crew on a flight the US vice presidential candidate took on 8 October.
Ms Harris has tested negative twice for COVID-19 since the flight, and was not in close contact with either of the people – meaning she will not need to self-isolate, according to a statement from Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.
She has suspended in-person events until Monday.
