Newly-promoted Harrogate moved up to 4th in Sky Bet League 2 after edging out mid-table Grimsby 2-1 at Blundell Park.
Jack Muldoon scored two times for the visitors – grabbing their fifth and sixth goals from the season either side of an Adam Tilley strike.
Harrogate, who have now recorded three directly wins, had their first given to them on a plate via Wayne McKeown’s loose clearance.
George Thomson picked up the parts out wide before cutting back in order to Muldoon, who made no error with a firm right-footed finish.
That initial lead survived just 45 seconds, however , because returning Grimsby winger Tilley discovered the bottom corner on the break.
Despite being pegged back again, the Yorkshiremen regained the effort and went into half-time 2-1 forward after Muldoon once again found themselves in the right place at the right period.
Upon the reboot, strikers Montel Gibson and Virgil Gomis both took aim for Ian Holloway’s men.
In the other end, meanwhile, Josh Falkingham stung the palms of McKeown as Aaron Martin also delivered one into the side netting.
