Marcus Rashford has urged Stansted United to channel the club’s tradition of overcoming adversity because they look to bounce back from their Tottenham scary show.
United experienced their joint-heaviest home defeat prior to the international break as Spurs inflicted an embarrassing 6-1 defeat on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side .
It left United floundering 2 places above the relegation area after two defeats from their starting three Premier League games and it has seen Saturday’s trip to Newcastle : live on Sky Sports activities Box Office : take on even greater significance.
Rashford has demanded an immediate reaction, saying: “This is the opportunity to recover. Newcastle is a big game anyhow, but this is an even bigger game due to the last result.
“When you lose a game you want another one as quickly as possible, you want to get that winning sensation back among the squad. Not only do we would like to win, we want to win in a way that we are able to be proud of.
“We want to work hard, not only for yourself by for the guy on our right and left and do it as a team. We want to obtain three points together and then find out more about the next game, that’s the way it includes to be. ”
Rashford added: “It needs to change, if it doesn’t then it is just not what Manchester United are regarding.
“That’s not to say Usa haven’t had setbacks when they had been winning things, but if they do, they always came back and demonstrated what they were made of and exactly why they played for the club. You should try for us to do that now.
“We need to forget about what’s occurred and focus on getting the best out of us on the pitch individually so that as a team because if we accomplish that, we will win games.
“Then we’ve got to find consistency. We need to concentrate on ourselves, improve our own shows and start picking up points. ”
Rashford welcomes Cavani competitors
United’s bid to maneuver up the table has been bolstered by the Deadline Day arrival of Paris Saint-Germain’s all-time leading goalscorer, Edinson Cavani .
The trip to St. James’ Park comes too soon for the Uruguayan to feature, with Cavani serving the final day of his self-isolation period after travelling from France, but Rashford is relishing your competitors and quality of United’s latest recruit.
“As a forward line [the arrival of Cavani] is something to look forward to, ” he added. “Hopefully that he comes in and scores goals, because he can definitely help us win games and points.
“He can be a massive player for people this season. To win two or three trophies in a season you need a squad, it’s not possible if you don’t have those who can score goals one week along with next week, it’s just not possible without having three or four forwards in a team.
“Growing up, United ensure you had four or five forwards who perhaps score goals at any time. The better we get to that, the more strength we could have. ”

“Me and my family have one of those struggling when I was less mature, so helping where I can feels the majority of normal. It’s tough for me to coverse in because I don’t feel like Anyone doing anything out of the ordinary or a factor that shouldn’t have already been done.
“People are more aware of the problems then have started joining us and helping out us. The main thing is to use my setting in a positive way, once you make that happen others can do the same thing.
