Reid brought by two shots with eighteen holes to play in Portland a week ago, celebrating her 33rd birthday using a 65, but she struggled to some 74 on the final day plus finished two strokes behind champ and compatriot Georgia Hall.

The English ace will appear to learn from that experience when the lady starts her final round within the Bay Course at Seaview seeking to secure her maiden victory in the usa, while Hall slipped six from the pace following a disappointing 70 upon Saturday.

Reid made a confident start with birdies at two of the first 3 holes, and she hit one of the pictures of the year at the long 9th, her 230-yard second using the shape to roll down the slope in order to within six feet of the banner and set up an eagle-three.

Another birdie followed in the 10th, although Reid was not able to improve her score coming in plus settled for eight straight pars, a bogey-free round, and the downright lead on 15 under k?rester ahead of Jennifer Kupcho and Jennifer Song, who both carded 65s.

Asked what she discovered from her mistakes on Weekend in Portland, Reid said: “Sometimes I get too quick and it also kind of makes me quick upon my swing, so I’ll simply take my time tomorrow I think.

“That is basically what we type of took away from last week. I was simply rushing things a little bit and most likely hitting shots I wasn’t very comfortable with. Tomorrow I’m going to take the time a little bit more, and hopefully it is going to make a bit of a difference. ”

While Reid prospered, it had been a frustrating day for final week’s winner Hall as the girl failed to build on a bright begin with back-to-back birdies at the third plus fourth, giving shots back on six and eight.

Hall then had to wait till the 18th to claw a shot as well as close on nine under together with Solheim Cup team-mate Anne vehicle Dam (69), with Jodi Ewart Shadoff adding to the English problem with a 68 getting her in order to eight under par.
